Spring has sprung and Mother’s Day is right around the corner. I’m back with a new list of favorite products and gift ideas that are great for the special woman in your life (and also for YOU)! You won’t find anything here that I was paid to endorse. I’ve checked out every single item in the 2021 Mother’s Day Gift Guide for Grownups. If it’s not something worth spending my own money on, I would never recommend it.
Also, you can find LOTS of other great gift ideas in my previous gift guides:
This is what I’m getting for Mother’s Day — for myself. I’ve been eyeing this product for about a year and I’m planning to order it in May. (Waiting for the weather in Colorado to warm up first!) Farmstand is a self-watering, self-fertilizing hydroponic system that lets you grow organic produce indoors or out. It comes in a variety of sizes — is expandable from 12 to 36 plants. You can purchase the seedlings from Lettuce Grow or use a local hydroponic seedling.
We started with the 24 plant size and will be setting it up on our outdoor patio — although if we love it, we will purchase grow lights to move it indoors during the cold Colorado winter. I’ll post a full review once I receive it and get it set up.

First of all, if you aren’t following Teri Turner of No Crumbs Left, you don’t know what you’re missing. In addition to being a bestselling cookbook author, a podcaster and a stellar human being, she has a line of homemade pottery that I’m obsessed with. I started out with the iconic Marinated Onion Bowl and have since ordered a rainbow Everything Bowl, Crum-bowls and a couple of shallow Fred Bowls. She’s always coming out with new styles and colors and because it’s handmade and pricey, I always have something on my wish list. (I’m currently eyeing the new plates and platters.) Make sure you subscribe to her weekly newsletter for the best offers, discount codes, and occasional free shipping.
Three of BeautyCounter’s luxurious body-care favorites just got a makeover, to be even more sustainable & even more amazing for you. I just bought all three of them and they’re ideal for spring. The Sugarbuff Body Polish sloughs off dry winter skin, the Luminous Hydration Body Oil is fabulous after a bath or shower and makes my skin silky soft. I also really like the Melting Body Balm as it’s heavier and longer lasting than hand cream and ideal for rough areas like elbows and knees. Plus the manoi scent smells like Hawaii.
Any of these items would be great paired with a Kitsch microfiber hair towel for a true “self care package.” (There’s a discount code for Kitsch in my review post.) New BeautyCounter customers can save 20% with code CLEANFORALL20 and there’s a generous 60 day return policy so you can return anything that you don’t love.

I’ve been making homemade cold brew for years. Recently, my son introduced me to the OXO Cold Brew System and it’s a huge improvement over the pitcher I was previously using. No wonder it’s so well rated! It comes in either a 16 ounce compact size or a 32 ounce size. (Don’t forget you’re making coffee concentrate – not drinkable coffee. I love that the cleanup is so easy and that the cold brew is stored in glass rather than plastic.
My jewelry taste has gotten really minimal and I’m leaning toward simple high-quality pieces that I never take off. These gorgeous stacked baguette diamond studs from Vrai are perfection. They are made with sustainable lab-grown diamonds and I love this stacked design. They come in either a 14k yellow or white gold setting. You can even purchase them individually if you only want one. (There’s also a matching necklace.)
The Stacked Baguette earring is reminiscent of a loving embrace. A large baguette cut affectionately pulls a smaller baguette towards it as the delicate 14k gold minimal bezel setting enhances their beauty and light.
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country. It’s a cross between tennis, badminton and ping pong. It’s played on a smaller court with a lower net than a tennis court.
My husband and I recently tried it and we’re now signed up to take lessons. It’s very fun and competitive and an ideal sport for “grownups” as it’s easier on your knees and ankles than tennis. Trust me, if I can play, anyone can play! My hand-eye coordination is terrible.
We were recently gifted these stylish Advance Pickleball Paddles from Baddle and we love them! They are a performance mid-weight pickleball paddle designed for every level of play. With an anti-slip grip, they’re tested and approved for USAPA tournaments (should we ever get that good – lol!)
There are a few things to consider when choosing a pickleball paddle including grip size, weight and edge protection. Baddle also makes a line of pickleball apparel that’s really cute and functional.

Over a year later, we are still loving our monthly subscription from MeUndies. Read my full review. You can pause and skip a month whenever you like. My sister-in-law is a clothing and jewelry designer with a retail shop in Los Angeles. She makes these embellished jackets and sweatshirts that I wear allllll the time. They’re super unique and I often get stopped and asked where to buy them.
You can purchase what is in stock or contact Bernadette about a custom order. Her prices are very reasonable – less than a department store full of “me too” merchandise. Be sure to check out the face masks and jewelry too. And if you order, tell her that Jill from Grownup Dish sent you.
This post has a summary of all of my current discount codes and special offers.
