It is peach season and I am completely obsessed. This Peach Basil Smoothie recipe is rich, sweet, fruity and creamy (even though it contains no dairy or sweeteners.) The best part? The healthy Fab Four combination of protein, fat, fiber and greens will elongate your blood sugar curve and keep you full for hours.
This recipe uses Blender Bombs but if you don’t have them I’ve given you an alternative. Blender Bombs are pre-portioned nuggets that you can drop into your blender (along with fruit, greens and liquid) for a nutritional boost. They are plant-based, gluten-free and made with real food ingredients. They’re currently available only via mail order and will keep unrefrigerated for three weeks. You can read my full review of Blender Bombs HERE.
You can use fresh or frozen fruit in this peach smoothie. If you use fresh peaches, be sure to add a couple of ice cubes to ensure that it’s nice and cold. And if you don’t have basil, feel free to substitute mint.
Try this healthy Peach Smoothie today and let me know what you think. Be sure to tag #grownupdish or @grownup_dish on Instagram so I can share your posts.

1/4cup fresh or frozen spinach, kale or other greens
1 tablespoon almond butter
1Blender Bomb or substitute 1 tablespoon hemp hearts or chia seeds
1–2cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, coconut milk or a combination
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
Slurp it up!
Notes
Using frozen fruit makes the smoothie colder and thicker. If you use fresh fruit, add a few ice cubes and decrease the amount of liquid slightly.
I keep my greens (spinach, kale, or a combination) in a plastic bag in the freezer. That way I can stock up when they are on sale. Frozen greens never spoil and it’s really easy to break off a small handful to add to my daily smoothies.
