We are BIG fans of homemade pizza night, but it wasn’t till we purchased our Ooni Pizza Oven that we realized what we were missing! I could never put a finger on it, but our homemade pizzas always seemed to be lacking. No matter how long I preheated our convection kitchen oven, I never got that crispy crust and melty cheese that you get from your local pizza place. That is, until Ooni entered our lives. Shoppers have plenty of options when it comes to pizza ovens, but Ooni’s differentiator comes down to efficiency. Ooni’s ceramic and fiber insulation allows all their models to maintain a thin outer layer (great for using and storing in small spaces) while still getting up to 900 degrees inside the oven.
Ooni has options for gas, woodfired, and combo models to meet your preference and budget. Wood and charcoal might give you the best flavor, but we all get lazy so the duel is great for when you just want to hook up the gas tank.
We went with the Koda 16” gas – We don’t want to worry about keeping wood/charcoal on hand, and love having enough cooking space for us and our guests. Our Ooni can only be used outside, so make sure you have a space on your deck you can use. Otherwise they had a model that’s indoor/outdoor that might be better suited for you!
