READ THE GROWNUPDISH JULY 2026 NEWSLETTER
Why does it always feel like time speeds up in July? We spent July 4th in the mountains and it was cool and lovely although a little smoky from the Colorado wildfires. I have very mixed feelings about America’s 250th birthday which I wrote about. I never thought I’d flinch at a flag, but here we are. Patriotism used to be the one thing we all agreed on. Now a third of the country is cheering for the guy dismantling the place (which truly breaks my heart.)
June was a whirlwind complete with my stepson and two-year-old granddaughter Noelle relocating to Colorado Springs from Kuwait, a family weekend in Denver for my side of the family, and our back yard revamp.
I’m in full summer mode these days as I’m finishing up this newsletter sitting by the pool. Hope your summer is sunshine-y with a gentle breeze.
xoxo Jill
P.S. Scroll down for new recipes including the easiest way to make corn on the cobb, Gen Jones content, a great way to sample three of my favorite face serums, and how I’m (trying) to keep track of my phone.
P.P.S. New glasses! These are the Payton frames from Pair Eyewear and I love them. This link and code grownup saves you 15% on everything.
