Welcome to 2025,
This year started out with a bang (which is why I’m so tardy getting this newsletter to you).
- Mexico City! I just got home from 5 glorious days in Mexico City. It was my first visit but it won’t be my last. The food, the shopping, the sights, the weather, the whole vibe was amazing. I can’t wait to go back.
- New Recipes: Scroll down for four hearty and nourishing recipes that are ideal for cold weather.
- I’m officially “spending a week in February in Palm Springs” years old! As much as I love Colorado I’m not a fan of the cold and this year I’ve vowed to travel to warm places in Jan/Feb. In addition to a trip to Cali in Feb, I’ll also be heading to Miami for a long weekend to celebrate my hubby’s birthday.
- I had eye surgery on Jan 2nd which slowed me down for a couple of weeks. I’m still recovering and plan to write and publish a blog post about my experience soon. If you’re curious, check out this video playlist.
- I’m doing the Blender Bomb Smoothie Challenge in January and committing to having a nutrient dense smoothie five days a week. I feel amazing and I really think it’s been instrumental in helping me heal quickly from my surgery.
- Most of my social media followers are on TikTok so I’m hoping that it isn’t going to disappear. But, I finally (finally) had a viral video on Instagram. It’s over 680k views!
- It’s only day two of the new administration and I’m bracing for the shit show that the next four years promises to be. If you want to read more, click the “I didn’t vote for him” image below.
