Read the July 2024 Grownup Dish Newsletter
I went to Target yesterday and they were putting the back-to-school displays up. Stop the madness! It’s only July and I don’t want one second of my summer cut short. The temps are about to top 100 F in Colorado but nothing will dampen my enthusiasm for all things summer. Here’s a quick recap of what I’ve been up to:
- I had an awesome visit with my two sons (and one of my grandsons) and even got talked into going down the water slide (despite my huge fear of heights!)
- Sang the National Anthem at a Colorado Rockies game (can you spot me?)
- We spent July 4th weekend with some friends in Salida Colorado – fireworks, biking, whitewater rafting. It was awesome.
- One of my summer goals was to spend more time in the mountains. It’s cooler and it’s gorgeous. I literally pulled the car over on the side of the highway to capture this video.
- I love to travel (but I really love to come home!) Here’s a look at the three things I miss most when I travel.
- I’ve had grain bowls on repeat all summer. Such an easy dinner idea.
- Scroll down for three new summer recipes: dark chocolate zucchini bread is moist and delicious, chicken salad slaw is a meal prep marvel, and you’re going to want to drink the dijon vinaigrette that goes over the broccoli – it’s that good!
- If you remember Mrs. Beasley, Etch-A-Sketch and Hawaiian Tropic suntan oil you’re going to want to check out my Generation Jones playlist on YouTube.
