Happy September!

September might be my favorite month in Colorado. I love a sunny fall day and we’ve had a plethora of them lately.

  • August Recap.  After a lot of travel in July, we spent most of August in Colorado. Highlights include seeing Jon Batiste at Red Rocks, weekly trips to the Farmer’s Market, a weekend “staycation” at the Monarch Resort & Spa, and a perfect day spent supporting small businesses.
  • New Recipes – Even though fall is upon us, summer produce is still plentiful and our garden is still going strong. Below I’m sharing some recipes to make the most of late summer’s bounty including: High-Protein Fresh Tomato Soup (made with garden tomatoes), One-Pan Corn Lasagne, and Southern Tomato Pie. You’re also going to love this 3-Ingredient Cookie Butter Banana Cake. (I don’t like bananas but I loved it.)
  • Things I’m Digging. I’ve been reviewing a ton of products (more than I can include in a monthly newsletter.) The best way to see them is HERE where I’m saving my video reviews and discount links. It’s also where I’m sharing my latest favorite books, movies and podcasts.
  • Things I’m Looking Foward To – With the daily deluge of terrible news, I’m trying to remain positive. One practice that helps me is having a list of things to look forward to. Here are a few things currently on my list:
    • Trip to Cincinnati to see the grandkids and other friends/family and attend Rosh Hashanah services.
    • Our (now annual) trip to NYC for shopping, Broadway shows, etc.
    • Football season. Now that we have our magic TV box we can watch ANY game and aren’t limited by what is being shown in our area.
    • A bunch of my favorite COUNTER products are coming back at the end of the month: Think Big Mascara, Brow Gel, Lid Glow Cream Eyeshadow, Hyaluronic Lip Balms and a brand new Cushion Cream Moisturizer that I can’t wait to try. In the meantime, scroll down for the fall favorites you need to update your skincare routine for colder weather.

P.S. This young man needs to run for office. I’d vote for him.
