Happy November,

I know it was a week ago but I couldn’t miss the opportunity to share our 2025 couples Halloween costume: Prince and Princess. We went out to see one of our favorite dance bands on Halloween night and Paul was the hit of the evening.

  • Oct Recap: October was a banger — full of fun, family and gorgeous weather. My youngest son and his partner came for a visit (and a Red Rocks concert) and the big news is that my mom is going to be relocating to Denver. We found her a fabulous independent-to-assisted living spot that is only two miles from our house and she has signed a lease. We will get her moved right after Thanksgiving. Then there was the massive No Kings Rally (where Denver and the rest of the country) really showed up, and of course, Halloween.
  • New Recipes – For Thanksgiving, don’t miss Ratatouille Shepherd’s Pie, and my Turkey Tips. This Buttermilk Apple Cake is to die for and we’ve been using our slow cooker to make this Melt-In-Your-Mouth Pork Roast on repeat.
  • Coming Soon – I’m hosting Friendsgiving in Denver, then spending the actual holiday in Cali with family before I dive into helping my mom move cross country. I’m working on a huge holiday gift guide which I’ll be sharing soon. And my “Social Security” birthday is coming up at the end of the month – I’m turning 62!
  • Things I’m Digging. I’ve been reviewing a ton of products (more than I can include in a monthly newsletter.) The best way to see them is HERE where I’m saving my video reviews and discount links. It’s also where I’m sharing my latest favorite books, movies and podcasts. I found a great pair of ballet flats, a really inexpensive hair crimper and an amazing steam cleaner.
  • New COUNTER Products – The COUNTER holiday sets are here and they are terrific. And check out this video for my winter must-haves.

Wishing you a peaceful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, and good food.

P.S. I figured out how to get 47 grams of protein in my smoothie (and it still tastes GREAT)
P.P.S. Watch me make a pork roast in my PJ’s
