This sweet and savory 3-ingredient fruit salsa elevates a simple grilled protein (chicken, fish, pork, steak), makes a great topping for tacos and burritos and is a delicious appetizer when served with chips.
With summer fruit at its peak, there are so many ways to throw together a delicious fruit salsa. First, pick your favorite fruit. My top picks are:
peaches
nectarines
apricots
mango
Add a little chopped onion or shallot and a splash of acidity from white vinegar or citrus.
That’s the whole dang recipe! Mix it up and substitute however you’d like. If you want to add fresh herbs (basil, cilantro) or a chopped spicy pepper, you can fancy it up.
I made this simple 3-ingredient fruit salsa with nectarines, green onions and vinegar and used it to top grilled pork chops. It would also be yummy on top of grilled chicken, steak, seafood or a marinated pork tenderloin.
This fruit salsa is paleo, sugar-free, Whole-30 compliant, gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan.
